System Update Exporter is the perfect tool for WordPress administrators, developers, and agencies that manage multiple websites. With just a few clicks, you can:

• List all pending updates for WordPress core, plugins, and themes.
• Export this data in Excel, Word or CSV format for client reporting or internal tracking.
• Configure export options: choose export format, include/exclude system summary or server info.
• View detailed update information (current vs. available version, changelog links).
• Access your WordPress system status for diagnostics.
• Assign access to specific roles beyond Administrator (e.g. Editor, Author, etc.).

Settings

From the System Update Exporter settings page, you can customize the behavior of the plugin:

• Export format: Choose between Excel (.xlsx), Word (.docx) or CSV (.csv).
• Include summary text: Toggle whether to add a descriptive summary at the top of the export file.
• Include server information: Decide whether to add server details (PHP version, database info, etc.) in the report.
• Allowed user roles: Define which user roles (besides Administrator) can access the plugin (e.g. Editor, Author, Contributor, Subscriber, or custom roles like “test”).

These options allow you to generate clean and personalized reports based on your needs or your client’s requirements.

Usage

1. Go to System Update Exporter in the admin menu to list all pending updates.
2. Select export format: CSV, Word or Excel.
3. Click Export and download the report.
